After yesterdays great Shave with a "Streamline", there is a lot less stubble than usual to deal with after 24 hours. So it was going to be a hard act to follow.
Picked today one of the later 1912s [ circa 1951] as the seem less harsh than the early ones, I think the head was designed to take the modern blades. I had to be careful to adopt a very light touch/no pressure technique during the Shave, and have been rewarded by a smooth comfortable Shave with a good close all round finish. Get it right and the 1912s provide a great Shaving experience for very little outlay.I have to smile when I remember my first efforts using a Vintage SE, far too heavy handed by far so suffered irritation and nicks galore- now touch wood, no bloodshed unless I get careless.
