Lather: Cella Aloe Vera Shaving Cream.
Blade: Mers Super-shave X. (D2)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant.

Very nice soap with a good scent and a rich creamy and slick lather...
A nice enough shave with this razor. The edge is keen, smooth, and comfortable. 3 silent passes for a sas result without any issues. Nice matching aftershave.

A bit of a late post, as off early yesterday and on return home delayed by Traffic was not in the mood. The Claymore is now my to go Razor, if out for the day officiating. Seems to be cheating in some ways, knowing that with this Razor you are going to have a mishap free Shave and a quality finish that is going to last all day.

Saturday's child is full of hope, Sunday's child has a face full of soap.

So today I woke up too early and despite not really needing to shave, it's a pleasure right? Well today was. Having used my new boar a lot recently to break it in (what a great brush the 820 is!) I decided a rotation was due. My Simpson Commodore best badger x3 is still a lovely brush. Its started to shed which grieves me a bit but I still like it. So out it came, with a lot of water and the Razorock Tuscan Oud soap. This is a soap based on lanolin, coconut and shea butter, with a Tom Ford tobacco oud smell. It's very strong and cloyingly sweet, you have to be "in the mood for oud" , although I think it smells like sweet licorice, leather and tobacco flower. It's really growing on me even though I like dark and mysterious rather than sweet. I prefer Gothic Revival to this but I'm liking this more and more. It takes a lot of water and gives a lovely slick lather. The razor is as yesterday's, ie Slim with a Wilkinson blade on its 2nd run. I dialled the Slim back to #4. Niiiice. 3 passes, not even the tiniest red spot, super smooth. As close to BBS as I care to aim for. Easy like Sunday mooo-oo-orning.
I will be finishing with a couple of drops of Bio oil and the Zara #tobacco collection (Rich/Warm/Addictive) which is so close to the soap in scent as to be probably a better match than the RR splash. Enjoy your day, gentlemen.
