SOTD : Saturday 24th March - Friday 30th March 2018

cream: Muhle Aloe Vera
brush: Zenith 24 mm unbleached pig
blade: Heljestrand 923, 1/4 hollow

Stainless steel scales, guessing it was made for medical use, good shaver but rather heavy. (there is also a 923F sold NOS in a military surplus store, so F probably "Försvaret" as in military hospital use)

How did the cream perform, @Norfolkdick ? I have the original, and think it's marvellous stuff. Finger hovering over the buy button on Amazon

Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (1)
Mitchells Wool Fat
Nivea 2 Phase & Crabtree and Evelyn Black Absinthe

A great shave aside from a tiny weeper under my chin, user error. The Mitchells just never fails to perform for me, just show it a damp brush and mountains of lather follow. I did drop my lather bowl into my sink but luckily more than enough in the brush to do several passed more than the three I did.

This cologne has grown on me, the first time I used it I thought it was vile but it's become a favourite although it doesn't get used often, quite potent

Greetings

I found it very good indeed and personally prefer it to the original on fragrance alone (performance IMHO is identical) I find the sandalwood scent of the original rather sweet.

Dick.

I am really enjoying Shaves with the 1924 since fitting it with this handle, for some strange reason
it Shaves very smoothly without shimming it as I did previously. Basically, a nice comfortable shave
with no fuss/mishaps , and a nice close all round finish too. Found the Soap to be exceptionally good
when doing polishing up work on the Chin, must think about getting some more P & B.
