SOTD : Saturday 24th February - Friday 2nd March 2018

Thur 1st Mar

RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
Stirling Baker Street
Schick Type F
Japanese Schick Single ( 2 )
Pitralon Classic A/S lotion

The Shave today confirmed to me that the Type F despite its apparent mildness is a fine Razor. I spent an extra couple of minutes on the Shave on ensuring I got an ultra close all round finish. As the Razor is so smooth and forgiving the extra Shave time does not cause any post Shave problems.

The quality of the finished Shave is probably superior to those I get from other Injectors ( confined to use of a single blade ), and by far the the smoothest and most comfortable.

Hi, same razor and Blade as me, what is the soap like? I have never considered it.
Good choice! I'm a big fan of Stirling soaps. they're on the stronger side, scent-wise and give a lovely slick lather. This one reminds me of Phoenix & Beau Sanskrit. lovely fragrance from this one but check out their other offerings. Maggards razors are a rear place to get them - they almost always slip through customs too.

Shave of the day, 01 March 2018

Pre-shave - Warm shower, face wash Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by warm water splash and Murdock Pre-shave Oil.
Soap - Wickham 1912 - Club Cola.
Brush - Omega 011829 Boar.
Bowl - Via Barberia.
Razor - Blackland Sabre-L1.
Blade - GEM PTFE (day 2).
Post - Cold water splash, followed by Myrsol After Shave Balsamic Water.

Wow, wonderful shave.

A very relaxed shave - the Club Cola was devine, in terms of protective lather, glide and scent. The Sabre-L1 was devine also - very smooth and efficient, needed a 3 pass to get BBS, whereas 2 passes with the L2 does the trick. However, my skin feels softer after a 3 pass with a L1 compared with a 2 pass with the L2. YMMV

My skin strill feels amazing - thought that I would have some redness after 3 passes, when I went out into the cold, however, no issues.

I am very pleased with the Sabre L1 and L2. The L1 is great if you want a relaxed shave, and you want to take your time. The L2 great if you are looking for efficiency and have less time. Both great razors in their own right.

I am a big fan of Myrsol - for me, the Balsamic water is top of the pyramid

Hope everyone is warm and safe.

Take care,

Chris
