Well that was a crackin' shave, I modified a Perma-sharp half blade to fit, checked the blade alignment, lathered up and away i went, i was mindful that the blade may move during the shave so i checked it for the first few strokes, the razor felt really comfortable throughout but also very efficient.
Well happy with my BBS finish and finding another blade to use in this Vintage Lady.
Luckily the head of my Valet is quite simple with 2 dots and the Centre "post" i cut a "V" into the centre of the blade to allow for the centre post and trimmed the side tabs of about 1mm, Bingo.

Enjoy your day all.

You could always swap the handle for a heavier one and slightly shift grip to account for the change in balance.View attachment 138860
My Shave today consisted of...
Prep Hot Wash.
Brush Tanz Gold.
Soap Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban cigars.
Razor Razorock Gamechanger 1.05-P.
Blade Perma-Sharp.
Aftershave Cognac and Cuban cigars Splash and Balm.
A pretty good two pass face shave tonight, I prefer the Razorock Jaws razor over the Gamechanger.
I am not sure why I am not feeling it, perhaps it's because I use either very light razors or very heavy and this is medium weighted to me.
I know it's probably technique and I am more than happy to give it more time.
Enjoy the night everyone.

Good idea, I might switch the Jaws handle as it is all Razorock. You could always swap the handle for a heavier one and slightly shift grip to account for the change in balance.![]()
Agreed, it’s a weird scent, but performance is goodTuesday 26 Aug
Kesabella Aleppo Soap - 70% Laurel
Razorock Hawk V3A with Razorine handle
Feather Pro Super
AP 400 Slim 22mm G5C
MMGP UKWSS Christmas
TGS Witch Hazel with Cucumber
Proraso Blue Pre-Shave (as post shave)
Thanks to @Dickie for the sample. Initially loved the scent of this - got loads of fruit, caramel toffee, cinnamon but on lathering I disliked it - seemed to change (YMMV) and smelt a bit like a cleaning product. But… in all areas performance wise I found it exceptional and I would buy this soap in another scent. I’d sum it up as creamy, thick, luxurious. 6th and final use of AC blade.
Have a great day all

That’s a lot of work to get a blade to fit, I never got around to getting a model 3 I just have the models 1,2, and 4. Envoy the set-up!26/08/25
