Saturday Morning Shave…

Apologies for the photo but time is a bit scarce today. The Ever Ready Jewel was back into action for shave number 2. It definitely felt much less aggressive today and had smoothened out quite a bit since last time. It feels a little lawnmower-esque at times with its cutting power but it’s rapidly becoming a favourite. I still can’t believe how such a funky-looking device can be so efficient. Face feels better and the alum block was much quieter. Great stuff.

I was so ready to dislike this soap and have had it for a while but I thought I’d give it a go and it was actually pretty damn good. Slick and thick and the face feels like it’s had a lanolin shave. It was the Hampshire Lanolin lavender and tea tree. Getting a bit of a lavender thing going at the moment but hey… Hate to admit it but this could also become a staple too.

Have a lovely weekend and I hope the traffic is kind if you are heading off anywhere…

The 6S - Whizzy combo is very easy and comfortable to use, even with the blade on its 6th outing.
3 Full passes for a very comfortable BBS finish.
I finally got around to sorting out my Cocobolo brush with an Insert disc of a pewter Lakeland Terrier.
I think it looks pretty cool.
I got the disc from an old set of coasters we have. Measured recess and hand filed the disc to fit
Max brush (1).jpgMax brush (2).jpgMax brush (3).jpg
Glued it into position ready to use. The brush will be now call SBB MAX.

Enjoy your day all.

Looks fabulous. The pewter looks great against the dark wood...

Day out in Chester today. Walked the city walls and sampled a few testers in the Penhaligons shop. English Fern is back for a limited time and there was a new fragrance called The Cut. Unfortunately I don’t know why but I can’t seem to get along with any of their offerings, preferring both Floris and Trumpers. Probably just as well as they are quite expensive, lovely presentation though.
