SOTD . SATURDAY 21st JULY - FRIDAY 27th JULY 2018.

A wonderful shave set up..+ 1 on the Maca Root cream..It's still a great favourite of mine, superb performer.

Myrsol Agua BalsImica Cream/Croap (?)
YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Rockwell 6C R3
Voskhod (1)
Witch Hazel Mixture
Floid Black Aftershave

First use of this Myrsol cream. . . . First thing to say is that it has a really strong scent, at least 11/10 !!
I'm not a fan of the scent at all because of its strength. Unlike other soaps/creams, the scent remained at full strength throughout the shave.
I decided to face lather and it was not a great success. It took quite a while to build a not very good lather, but I thought I would take the risk and go with it.
Well, it performed admirably. Not much cushion, but plenty of glide/slickness.
My usual WTG/ATG shave routine was comfortable enough and I attained a good near BBS finish all over.
Post Shave was unexpectedly very good.
Will I use this cream again soon? Not very likely, purely because of the pungent scent.
Finished with another product new to me, Floid Black Aftershave. Very nice scent, and good nourishing performance.

@Rohleder

Those Myrsol cream scents are very strong I also have the Don Miguel which is pungent jasmine. As you say they produce an odd lather, more like a slime but it performs pretty well. Glad you enjoyed the Floid, a reliably great performer... I just found the scent not to my taste.

Vulfix 404
Vitos Super Red
Mongoose B3
Feather Pro [ 2 ]
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

Using another AC/SE but this time with a Feather Pro rather than the Proline, which I tend to favour. I find this blade to feel sharp and less forgiving and though the shave was smooth enough, I think I may not have got such a close shave as I was wary of the sharpness of the blade.

Prep ~ Shower with Sheep & Donkey milk soap
Razor ~ Gem MMOC Brass
Blade ~ Ever-Ready Raido Steel Stropper
Soap ~ Cyril R. Salter Solid Shaving Soap
Brush ~ Thater 4125/2 Silvertip
Post ~ Myrsol Blue Aftershave
Scent ~ Feuilles de Tabac ~ Miller Harris

A lovely shave with my converted MMOC which enables me to use the thicker Stropping blades, this time a freshly stropped ER Radio Steel blade, sharp yet smooth.
The wonderful Thater brush easily bringing the hard soap to lather with its velvety gel tips.
The shave was a good one leaving my skin super soft and totally free of hair.
A splash of Myrsol Blue to fully wake me and then a few sprays of Feuilles de Tabac from Miller Harris to complete my me time. P.

Have a nice day whatever you are doing......P.

Clean shaven and ready for our short break. The wife and I and my wee dug Mac are leaving this morning for a two day stay on the Isle of Gigha (pronounced Geeea).
It's the most southerly of the Scottish inner Hebrides islands.7 miles long by 1 1/2 miles at its widest point.
Stunning scenery and white sandy beaches, here we come !!!.

Enjoy your day gentlemen
