Let's get one thing clear before we start - this soap only exists in my den because of @Bogeyman - a beautiful piece of long distance enabling..
For the record, I have not used their new croap. I merely recommended the scent as it is great in their AS.

Razor = Feather AS-D2
Blade = Gillette Super Slim Platinum
Brush = Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia
Soap = Ariana & Evans Kaizen
Splash = Same As Above
Balm = L’oréal Barberclub.
Another Brilliant shave due to the first use on this blade.
I’ll make a bold statement and say it’s a straight 10 & Certainly the best blade iv tried.
All the blades i bought on the last batch have been excellent. Gillette Blue, London Bridge,
Winner Platinum & now this.
i could have got away with a 2 shave pass no problem but the wife had the heating on full blast so it was three passes & a pick up just t keep me out the way.
Man i’m scottish i’m not used to these tropical temperatures.
Woman ah a breed apart lol

I agree with the sentiment on the Gillette super slim platinum, of all the Gillette blades I have, it’s my favourite

Pre: hot shower
Razor: Gillette super adjustable black beauty (or at least I think it's that) - set to 3
Blade: astra SP (1)
Soap : Wickham apricus
Brush: omega 49 professional boar
Post: alum, pinaud clubman, joop balm .

DFS - few spots that I could improve a bit on but overall a good shave . First time with this razor - enjoyed using it. Used astra SP since I'm already familiar with it.
Soap lathered beautifully and smells so good so that's always a bonus!
No nicks or weepers and only slightest feedback from alum . Finished it off with pinaud clubman and balmed up with joop, since the smell was quite similar :)

Note taken of the razor, maybe I'll end up bagging one for myself at some point

Nothing at all crappy about Voskhod blades - they're not as sharp as say, some Gillette offerings, but they're smooth and good for three shaves per blade.
They've performed flawlessly in every razor I've used them in. I found them to be my blade of choice in the Rockwell 6C.
Something nice about the smoothness of them alright! I think they must be one of the noisiest blades around too( ?!) which I enjoy!
What @Paul L said. I'm still working through a swathe of different blades I got in December, but the Voskhod is very much in the running to be my go-to. Decent performance for daily use - I'm yet to get a duff batch as has been suggested to be a regular occurrence, so maybe I'm still biased!
Long may the good batches last! I'm glad it's not just me who likes em! Funny enough, I had just ordered a bunch of blades to try, hoping to figure out a go-to blade for the 89 and for the slant. But like you, I'm also thinking the Voskhod may be the ones; for the slant anyway...... these dusty old things I've had for yonks!

Looking forward to trying some Treets though :sneaky:

Tue 23rd SOTD
Soap OSP BayRum
Brush DS Cosmetics 26mm Badger
Razor GC 0.84-P SB
Blade KAI 1st
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Thayers + Hyaluronic + Clubman VIBR
This is real classy soap, easily producing a creamy, slick, and lovely scented lather.
The shave with razor paired with the mysterious blade was quite good actually. Rather smooth and comfortable even for the atg pass on the chin and lips area. However, found the shave is better & smoother with a shallow angle. 3passes for a mixed bbs to dfs result, however encountered 3 weepers...Excellent aftershave.

If you have Treet Carbon (black) blades, be wary of using them more than twice. They don't stay sharp for long.
Also, dry them after use, as they tend to go rusty overnight.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: P&C LE 2020 Matilda Rhodium 2-band Silvertip
Soap: Wickham Club Cola
Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Super Silver (6)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Floid Mentally Vigorous Aftershave Splash
Scent: Amouage Epic Man

Three passes and a few touch-ups for a BBS result. Wickham Club Cola is one of my favourite scents. The soap lathers easily and produces good quality lather, although for me it lacks a little residual slickness.

I've approximately doubled the menthol kick in the Floid aftershave via addition of menthol crystals - very handy during hot days (38C in Perth today).
The bottle is getting pretty low, but reinforcements have arrived.

Face Lather.
Lather : La Toja Shave Stick.
Blade: Personna Gem modified PTFE. (2)
Razor: Valet ~ Auto Strop VC1.

Greetings,

My intention this morning was to carry on and use my Ever-ready 1924 'Shovelhead' but disaster struck!!...After loading the blade and closing the top cap, the razor head welding mount broke off the handle mounting...I consider this 'a blessing in disguise' as this could have happened in the middle of my shave which could have resulted in me getting a nasty bite!. Enough said... At least i still have my much loved 1912's & 1914..I now have a spare handle for my 1912's.

To carry on i used my Valet Auto Strop VC1 which was a wonderful replacement to keep my vintage SE razor week in the same theme.

Out of all my vintage SE razors the valet auto strop VC1 i find the mildest but if i was to choose just one vintage SE razor, then my much loved VC1 would be a very strong favourite along with my ER 1912(UK). From my maiden shave i found my shaving angle after a few seconds and was instantly in charge and at ease with this vintage lady...However i have said this many times, like any other razor i shave with either vintage, modern, aggressive or non-aggressive is worthy of no pressure and much respect and consideration if not, then it will bite!

Another effortless 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly considering the circumstances...

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

While latherIng I thought to myself that I had only used this shave cream once before, and wondered why? - The penny dropped after the first rinse - because it irritates the shit out of my skin ! It now resides in the bin !
I can see why Kai Pink are called Mild - very smooth and comfortable.
