It was an old pot resurrected when I restarted Wet shaving. It's used up now as a potted SL with cut down Palmolive sticks. It was always a good performer though. I got it when I was straight razor shaving a while back..Thanks Tony. I actually quite like the Macca Root scent myself. I find it a solid performer - especially if I've had a rough shave previously.

+1 on the boots freshwood asb, I like the asl too, but the balm is the better of the duo... I'll be using them tomorrow in my SOTD set up.26/04/19
Brush - Omega Boar
Pre - Wilko shave oil
Razor - 1950 (or 48/49?) Gillette Superspeed
Blade - GSB (3)
Soap - Boots shaving cream and Palmolive superlather
ASB and AS - Boots Freshwood
Bowl - Giles Shaving Co.
Today's shave lives at the other end of the expense spectrum that @GordyC has shaved at today. Whilst buying glycerine for my superlather (thank you @Palmolive fox and @Tony'schin), I decided to pick up a few of the cheap Boots products along with some Wilko shave oil to try. This superlather was easily my most comfortable lather to date. Glide and protection was fine on passes 1 and 2 but I realised it could have used more water when I added more water for the third pass and the lather improved further.
The Freshwood ASB is nice but I'm not sure on the AS. It's not a base scent, just slightly industrial. Can't really complain for under £3 though!
Overall, a comfortable and cheap shave with a decent finish.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
