Birthday shave!
Using some of my favourite kit, with this vintage Floris Elite which is certainly pre-2010s and at a guess probably the 2000s but maybe back into the 1990s. Lovely formulation with potassium stearate up front ... much like many of the modern triple-milled soaps, to be frank. Always an absolute heart flutter of love to use the Sun Ray. What a gorgeous razor!
Huge fun! Splash of Quorum to finish which complimented the soap very well indeed and I'd say I probably prefer Quorum to Elite but don't have a Quorum soap. Complimented my earlier spritz of Al Aneeq Fakhrul Oudh very nicey as well.

Shaving Recipe for today.
Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Men Kenya Shower Gel.
Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Vitos Vegetale Shaving Soap.
Blade: Lord Silver Star Super Stainless. (D1)
Razor: Kanzy K100.

Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel./ P&G Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray.

Early morning combined face & head shave.
An excellent performance from the Kanzy K100 razor has a well-balanced weight it's closed 'tech type head' which holds the blade rigidly which blade chatter is reduced to minimum with no blade over-hang which is very comfortable to shave with, and additional protection of not catching my ear lobes or under my nose when shaving.
Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of P&G Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray.
My face and precious swede are feeling smooth, & smelling divine.

Can I ask how the TOBS soap performs? I’ve tried the creams and they’re ok for me but I’ve heard the soap is better. It’s seems very good value too

Just to chip in as a side-note @Mark12 pretty much all of the British cartel reformulated from 2024 and many folks here will have older soaps as well as (still) some online retailers selling the older stock. Best buy direct from the big name, but still some are selling older stock through ... like Floris and T&H.
If I were to rank the British cartel in terms of best to worst based on the 2024 onwards soaps, I'd say:
DR Harris < the last of the tallowate formulations
Captain Fawcett < practically the same formulation as DR Harris
TOBS < very complex scent
Edwin Jagger < practically the same formulation as Muhle (German)
Floris (if you like Shea Butter ... I don't)
T&H < frothier lather but can be easily calmed and controlled using a drier brush
Scottish Fine Soaps < one is practically the same as T&H, the other doesn't lather well
Aside from Trumpers (still), they're all good post-2024.
Look for Potassium Laurate, Sodium Laurate and Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate in the ingredients to confirm they're post-2024.

Hi Mark, I find that it lathers pretty well. It reminds me of Arran Aromatics soaps. It isn’t as rich and creamy as DR Harris which I really like but it is pretty decent. I find post shave feeling is nice too. Their Sandalwood is an unusual scent but I quite like it, although I prefer Trumpers Sandalwood scent.
TOBS have regular sales if you sign up to their mailing list. I think I got this soap in the sale in a nice bowl for a good price.
