Missed a Shave yesterday as planned a late one, but someone? let the Hot Water run out. Razor again delivered superb finish, but I managed to get a weeper. The blade edge is very close to the edge of the blade guard so if mishandled can cause cuts/weepers - only drawback so far.

Soap Stirling Evie - New & 1st Use
Brush Yaqi 24mm Mountain Lake 2 Band Badger
Razor Karve Brass SB-D
Blade Czech Astra Superior Stainless 1stp
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Hyaluronic + Clubman Gents Gin
Another excellent soap from Stirling. Nice scent, creamy and slick lather...
Shave with razor paired with the vintage blade was surprisingly very good. Can feel it's crisply sharp but smooth and comfortable. 3passes for a mostly bbs result. Excellent aftershaves.

Razor: Mekur 39C
Blade Derby Extra (7)

Day seven of the “Derby Challenge.” The blade was very rough this morning, glad that today is the final day. Shaves, the last two days, have been rough. I can usually get seven days of smooth shaving with my benchmark Astra, so I’ll have to rank the Derby’s below the Astra. They’re usable, and certainly not crap, but don’t have the longevity of the Astra. I’ll keep them around and take them when I have to go out of town overnight or for a couple of days. But, as with everything shave related, these results are “tester specific,” and (to use that well-worn phrase” “your results might vary.”

Hmmm! not the best of shaves, i was always pushing it with the (for me) unforgiving Blackland Dart and a 5 shave Med Prep but i wanted to experiment.
So on its 6th shave the blade started OK but quickly began to feel like a new Polsilver SI (for me that's a bad thing), cutting but dull, still using the lightest touch i completed a 2 pass shave and the finish was top notch, however, i did get a bit post shave irritation - definitely Polsilveresque, although it has calmed quickly with a nice post shave routine.
So pushing the envelope doesn't always work but its worth it to find out what works in what.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.
