Buzzcocks, City hall Newcastle. I think about 1978, Walked home to Sunderland, school the next day. Will have a look for the ticket. " If you've ever fallen in love with" something that was me with them rained on me for about 12 miles and I didn't give a hoot. And the theme running through today's SOTD was 'Same old same old'

Same old razor - Ikon B1 SB
Same old blade - Polsilver Lodz
Same old brush - Razorock 24mm Plissoft
Same old cream - L'Occitane Cade
Same old aftershave - L'Occitane Cade aftershave
Something not same old - Alvarez Gomez
Same old bloke - Me
Just to be 'same old same old'; this evening's shave was exactly the same as previous simply because I have brought naff all away with me this time outside of tried, tested and trusted shaving paraphernalia. Okay I did have a blade change out but just to be totally original it was the same Polsilver blade as the past few years. @Blademonkey you have made my life an utter boring existence.
My wife doesn't talk to me anymore claiming I no longer have anything interesting about me and even the cats have given in on begging for food and just shit in corners more frequently in protest. Do I care? Not in particular as I am still the cleanest, smoothest shaven occupant in the house.
So to sum this evening's shave up in short, Super, smashing, great and as smooth as Castrol GTX.
Be well folks and enjoy the up coming long weekend. Drew the short straw here and working through. Boring, boring, boring
Before you move on to the more interesting SOTD please have a look at the link below. I am quite surprised that with all these fantastic SOTD photos (my own not included) only 13 people have voted on 'A calendar? Yes or No?' to date. You know your bathroom need that final touch in 2020 and if your bathroom doesn't need one then your wife and friends do.
Would you like an SOTD calendar?
Just a simple yes or no vote here I will give this a week or so to get a good gauge of how people thinkwww.theshavingroom.co.uk

'A lumpy bumpy shave' was the theme given to this day's time spent by the sink with a razor.

Lumpy - Ikon SB with an ATT Colossus handle
Bumpy - The usual Polish made blade
Grumpy - Cade shaving cream
Numpty - Cade aftershave balm
Cade. A name derived from an Old English nickname for someone who was lumpy and rotund. I am not sure what a lumpy person might look like, but they must be similar to myself so I'll go for that one.
Alternatively.
A Cade is the perfect guy. A smooth operator and every girl likes him
Definitely not me as apparently I have too many lumpy bits.
So today I find myself back at my father's place in Market Weighton, birth place of Britain's tallest ever man the giant William Bradley. It also happens to have wonderful water for shaving and something I always look forward to when visiting. This evening was no let down.
I often include L'Occitane Cade aftershave balm in to my shaves as quite simply it is the best balm I have come across for my skin. However I rarely reach for the shaving cream, but tonight saw it come out of hiding and yet another great product I too often overlook. Lovely in every sense of the word and an absolute gem. I don't reach far enough in to the 'shaving store' when choosing a soap or a cream and considering I am not short of long arms (?) I need to use them to better effect. Too many nice items sit out of view.
With the brilliant Razorock brush a super shaving medium to pass blade. On this ocassions my usual 'love it to death' Ikon SB with its usual partner in crime blade the Polsilver Lodz. Why change a good thing?
End result being a 'lumpy bumpy free shave' and nothing short of brilliant (other than my arms by all means). As smooth as a Cade and I am going to take a walk and see of it is true what they say about the girls.
Happy shaving chaps and I leave you with The Pixies from the wonderfully talented Kim Deal days
So is Gigantic about you ?
So is Gigantic about you ?
I've kissed Kim Deal you know....but I don't like to mention it. Laffin!
I'm not one to rub it in but...
