I think i've come to the same conclusion with Ariana & Evans. I get good performance and perfectly good shaves & post shave is good but overall I am not blown away. I am glad i bought some but unlikely to buy again when bowls are finished. I maybe need to try some other US artisans, but personally I feel A&E lags well behind UK and Italian soaps/croaps.

I think that of the US artisans I have tried and this is a supremely small list Stirling has competed very well and can be found cheaper than many of the other US soaps.

The only caveat I have here is that some of the more niche Stirling ones I would like to try are hard to get over here like the Sheep one. Probably some rule that says we aren’t allowed to liquidise or microwave sheep or something. Still I live in hope…

Brush: yaqi goblin
Lather: Trumpers coconut
Razor: king c
Blade: bic platinum
Post shave: alum block, witch hazel spritz
Aftershave: proraso red

The king c and the bic platinum are just made for each other such a comfortable 4th shave from this set up. No weepers, and the alum block didn't pick up anything. BBS with 2 passes and no irritation on my neck.
