Speick Cream ~ Muhle STF ~ ATT S2 ~ Erbe Blade ~ Speick AS
First use of the S2 very kindly loaned by Rob @Blackmass (thanks again Rob :thumbsupWhat a lovely razor! Very solid and superbly crafted, it does feel like a high quality hand tool... Wouldn't have surprised me to find a "Snap-On" logo somewhere on it lol. In use it was exactly as Rob described, silky smooth, on par with the mild mannered Mulcuto for face feel (or lack of!) But the ATT has a much larger blade gap which made short work of the task in hand. BBS in 2.5 passes, super smooth with zero irritation... What else can I say?! Oh, angle was completely intuitive and if it was this good on the first run it can only get better right?
I'm just kicking myself for not checking these out sooner

A lovely shave this evening. I haven't shaved since Saturday morning and I was well in need of a freshen up!
The absolute gentleman that is Rob (aka @Blackmass) has given me some lovely items to try. Tonight it was the Extro Bergamotto di Calabria shaving cream. The scent is fantastic as soon as you remove the lid. Taking Rob's advice I placed a really small amount in my bowl. A damp brush and[emoji95] BOOM[emoji95] the scent explodes as does the lather. A few minutes in the bowl has a really smooth and thick cream. As advised, a little goes a long way....with this amount I could shave every night for a week and still have plenty left over.
I stuck with my usual routine for everything else. The Rockwell 6c with plate R3 performed flawlessly. The Gillette Green blade on its 3rd outing showed no sign of drag or bluntness.
3 passes were without incident. I thought about stopping after my 2nd pass as I was already at DFS levels, however I went with a 3rd and final ATG pass which had me BBS. No dots of blood or redness and my skin was feeling great.
Finishing off with Thayers and a good splash of Extro Mare aftershave (which is also labelled as EdT) my skin is feeling brilliant!
This is why I converted to this way of shaving! Skin feeling great. Smelling great (in my opinion!). And overall feeling great!
Have a great night one and all!
