After an extremely smooth and efficient shave with the 1.15 gap, I'm going to see how enjoyable the 1.05 gap will be.
Well, TBH, I cannot see the point in going any bigger than 1.15 as it was such a pleasure to use, and now, I'm happy to report that the 1.05 was an equally wise choice... just as smooth and efficient, but a notch below in intensity.

No weepers at all so I guess it must be true about the Merkur 41c being mild for a open comb. The dscosmetics mix bodger was fairly scratchy which I assume will lessen with use but I like the marble resin handle

I thought you had a real Yuma until I read your post better. Must be using an alternate handle for the Merker 41c.

Razor = 1966 Birth Year Black Hande Superspeed
Blade = Vintage Wilkinson Sword ( 1 )
Brush = Chisel & Hound Le Manns Gulf V15
Soap = Macduffs Road Trippin
with matching splash.
Balm = Nivea Fresh Kick.
Cracking shave with the Birth Year Superspeed and paired with the Wilko it was a joy to use.
Although the shave was decent these soaps are a bloody nightmare to lather.
i genuinely thought i could lather just about anything but man these are a chore and i have around 6 and they are all the same.
i get there in the end well i dont really but i get an just about acceptable lather,
They dont foam up at all.
Anyway not point in greeting i got there in the end.
