SOTD: May 2026

Wednesday 6th May (This am)

I've been waiting a while to use today's Schick Type L Injector razor and the wait was worth it. I find this type of razor to be very fuss free shaving. One pass with some touch ups did the job with maybe a slight overworking on my chin. Nothing the witch hazel couldn't fix. Super.

Today's soap is a vintage Boots shaving soap. It lathered up really thickly and gave a nice protective cover for the shave. A huge thanks again to @pjgh for his kindness and generosity.

Back on boar today after a good break. This shape and style of boar is probably my favourite both in function and feel.

All in all, a lovely shave. Enjoy your day...

Having a lazy morning with a comfortable, two pass shave using well tried and trusted bits and pieces. Everything works very well for me and the end result is outstandingly smooth and refreshed.

Aleppo soap - Shave pre wash
Jayaruh Syn No67
Vitos Super Red
Schick I1
Schick S/S Twin - Japan ( 7 )
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

Another excellent Shave with one of the Schicks that I use with a Twin blade. I have tried them in a Type M Adjustable but not too impressed and much prefer a long handled N3.

Not a great shave today. Started off trying to use the Musgo as I would a shaving stick but lather wasn't building so ended up holding the soap and loading up that way.

Without thinking went against the grain on the lower half of my neck which was a mistake with the Yaqi Tile - most of my razors irritate doing so and I ended up with some claret...

The Musgo scent was rather pleasant, wouldn't say it particularly made me think of moss though
