I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #425. I did one quick pass and touch-ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna Gem PTSE Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

No internet or restaurant in this Premier Inn (Stockport). But not a bad shave really. The Proraso cream just keeps going on, and on. Having said that, I do actually like it, just fancy a change, and SWMBO won’t let me buy more until I finish something! Odd using a cartridge razor after a couple of years with ‘proper’ ones, but it did the job with just a bit of irritation (I was pressing too hard I think.) And a good day was had by all at the wedding - although we felt a bit like the token oldies (hang on, maybe we were!)

Ah, that’s better, back in the comfort of our own home! Hands still not great, so went with the lovely Slim Twist. And a fine shave it was with everything combining really well for a smooth, calm and enjoyable outcome. But what am I going to get to replace the blue Proraso, assuming it ever finishes! Hhmmm!

Monday 15th June...

Picked up this Weleda cream at the weekend in M&S. I'm not a big cream user and tend to go for Trumpers or Ingrams or one of the better performers when I do. It popped out as a rather firm dessicated hedgehog turd shaped object and took a while to get going. Didn't take water well at all. It wasn't particularly thick but it was slick which was what I was after which wasn't bad to be fair. A medium cream for me but I use them so rarely I don't really mix them up with any great skill. I'd definitely get more out of this with more practice.

Almost another full pass with the shavette apart from the very tip of the chin but I didn't want to start the week with a cut. Result!

5 passes later I am like a snooker ball :)
