working through the last two of my techs. this is my least favourite but still great. the head is brass and the handle aluminium so its head heavy and feels a bit awkward. if I had to reduce the number of techs I own, this would be out first but even this one gives me a fantastic shave and this morning was no exception.

I'm also realising how important a good lather is having a comfortable shave. of course that's obviously a no brainer but I feel like with the right focus and technique, I could get a decent shave with most razors and blades but a shave with a bad lather is hard to salvage. of course some gear makes the process itself more enjoyable, but in terms of the end result, even the most basic products can perform really well.

How do you find that razor mate? I have to admit it's one I crave - amongst many!!! :giggle:

It's not one I see posted often.

Cheers

It’s a very good razor and I’d say underrated, takes a shave to get used to it as the head is longer than most razors but all in all a good unit and I would recommend. Rockwell don’t make crap razors

Notes: Two days growth and tonight it was a superb shave.
The Tech was as good as any of my high end razors.
The shave with it was like night and day compared to last year, it just goes to show how much my shaving technique has improved the last 12 months.
Lovely.

Tech June shave number 5 (sort of)

Soap - Proraso cream (blue) - still going!
Brush - Semogue 1305 boar
Razor - Gillette Slim Twist (1960’s)
Blade - Astra SP (3)
Balm - Proraso (blue) - the end!
Aftershave - Bellini X-Bolt EDT (Lidl)

Okay, so it definitely is not a Tech - but it does have some similarities (like, it’s a Gillette!) My fingers weren’t up to ‘fiddly’ today, so went with my ‘Beatles’ razor, which is pretty much my favourite vintage item. A smooth, clean, predictable shave ensued and left me feeling and smelling great. Off to Stockport tomorrow for a nephew’s wedding so will have to sort out some travel kit stuff - now let me see!!

Greetings,

Early morning shave,

The Erasmic Soap Bowl & Semogue 830 boar duo both gave an admirably lathering performance this morning providing me with slick protective lather in a short space of time, leaving a wonderful post shave feel....I will be adding it to my soap rotation regularly throughout the remainder of the month and beyond...A great inexpensive shaving soap which gives results well above it's inexpensive price tag, and also it's mild clean scent pairs together with all my post shave applications.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
