So here is the bit of kit that I have been raving about for the past few weeks.
The Merkur 34Adj or the 534c (which is a better description).
It has the Progress 500 head and the 34c handle. It is adjustable from 1 to 5.
I have settled on 3 for first pass WTG. This is very much like the 34c in that it is medium aggressive with nice audible feedback. Very smooth and comfortable.
For 2nd pass ATG I dial down to 1.5. This is reminiscent of an 89 Muhle or Jagger in that it is very close but also extremely comfortable and mild.
My first month of using this razor has resulted in zero cuts, abrasions or rash. Every shave has been BBS close.

A splash of Brut and witch Hazel moisturiser to finish off is just perfect.

I have been mostly using the TFS almond fragrance croap that results in a super fine, slick and creamy lather.

I feel like I want to just stay with this razor forever. Of course, that won't happen!!!

Balm - Nivea Replenishing

My, oh, my - I’d forgotten how good Trumpers cream was! Fantastic thick, creamy lather. The blade just glided through it, removing three days growth as it went. With ease and comfort. My face was left feeling smooth and moisturised. I want to do that again - but suppose I’ll have to wait!

A very nice set up today, i was going to retire this blade after the shave, however, it gave such a smooth shave in the Athena i will keep it an use the same combo soon.
Had another busy day painting and refitting doors, this "new" water based quick drying gloss is brilliant to use, no waiting for hours on end for oil based gloss to set before you can do anything else, i am ready for the carpet fitters to arrive in the morning.

i think i’m starting to get my shaving mojo back.
I was worried for a bit as i just couldn’t be bothered but now that im home i see a huge difference im my energy levels and attitude.
6th use on the blade and it doesn’t seem to be letting up.
In all the time iv been wet shaving i dont think iv ever taken any blade to its limits but i’ll carry on with this one for the time being.
Anyone looking for a cheap Soap that performs look no further than these mastro miche
they just work
