Thursday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Nivea Shave Cream
Jayaruh #217 Synthetic
AliExpress Classic Adjustable DE
Gillette Silver Blue
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Nivea Shave Balm

The Nivea Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AliExpress Classic Adjustable razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was a shave of the week without a doubt. A superb and easy lather and a super smooth shave in every way. I haven’t used a Feather blade in this razor for a while and it was excellent.
I’ve also been “trying” to reduce my collection of razors recently and the Vector is now my one remaining ac type safety razor, but boy is it a good one! It is one of my top two razors, the other …a Blackbird :)

What hello chaps, chapesses and possibly, even bearded folk. And if the latter case, you are on the wrong forum. And may be I am

It appears some days since I last made an entry, so it must be that time of the week where I have to say, 'Catch up'

'Maam. We are the policing wing for the Board of theming things, and we have good reason to believe you have used the phrase Catch up'

'All I said was, Julie, we'll have to catch up at some point soon'

'Right that's it. You're bloody nicked!'

And right, that's it. The 'it', being my shaves for the past week covered by the theme, 'Shaving is dangerous. Be careful'

Sunday

1000012816.jpg

Potentially dangerous razor - Occams Enoch
'Do not swallow' blade - Schick Proline
'Choke hazard' brush - Highlander LE
'Do not eat' this soap - Captain Fawcett's
'Irritation hazard (not)' balm - Nivea for men
'Inhalation may be harmful' - YSL Homme eau de parfum

'Did you just pass wind?'

A dangerous razor based on the fact it may, just fall apart at any given moment, resulting in the blade being firmly wedged in one's face. If by any chance it happens to be on the lip, do not, under any circumstances, try to swallow. And especially if you happen to be on the inside of a large microwave.

Was it a good shave you boring fart? Of course it was, as the Enoch did remain complete throughout the shave. Get it right, and this razor borders on sublime, even if it does lean towards the aggressive.

The Fawcett's, because Mark of a reduced 12 inches used the same a couple of days earlier. Which was a nice reminder to get it out, use, and eat afterwards. We are talking shaving soap here?

Don't go near your testicles with this razor - Stainless Mongoose
Was this the reason @Mark12 Lost a number of inches? - Feather Super Professional
Electric Call Boy brush - PAA Peregrino

Danger high voltage soap - Floris Elite
Radioactive moisturiser - Danielle Laroche
Deep water perfume - Floris Elite

Any shave which involves the Mongoose and Floris soap will also involve being wonderfully shaved. I was. A well shaven, and very ugly hazard to the ladies

Wednesday

1000013028.jpg

A do not microwave razors razor - Ikon B1
And likewise the blade - Polsilver Lodz
Biohazard brush - Highlander 30mm Cashmere
Slippery surface soap - Kent
Microbe hazard moisturiser - L'Oréal
Danger high pressure perfume - Valentino Born in Roma

Back to the old, do not microwave shaving implements shave, and dangerously close it was. But the B1 only does uncomfortable, so an expectation.

It did require a change of blade since last used, as the previous had rusted. Which is a bit of an odd first for me, and so its disposal was the order of the shave. Please note, I did not try to digest the blade and sensibly placed it in he bin. Later cutting myself while correctly disposing of some non-recycleble waste. Not being sensible.

The Valentino being a superb ending to my sink activities

And it is over to those trashy dangerous girls, Bed In. Two ladies who if you stood too close to the front could cause a vacuum hazard

And I love you all

I love Floris Elite, it’s just a shame its longevity isn’t great. I have a bottle of the new and older formulation edt both really nice. Apparently it’s a best seller in Italy.

Brush - Zenith 2006
Razor - Gillette Rocket
Blade - Astra SP
AS - Denim Original

A sneaky shave with the Fat just before Fat February is with us. It's been a while since I last used it and it's shrunk and was rattling around the container that it didn't do before. I've neglected the Fat and it looked a bit miserable. The Fat needs love!

Karve Overlander
Wilkinson Sword (1)
Fine Absolut
Thayer’s rose witch hazel

Very comfortable shave. These German Wilkies really do live up to the praise they’ve been receiving. I find them sharp, smooth and with a longevity that I’ve only encountered with heralded vintage blades.

Enjoy yours gents.

Today's shave before the shower was an 9/10.
I used dial 2 with only 3 micro cuts on the chine due to snagging. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 7 topside. I do flip the blade over around 14--16 and count the flipped side amount with also a total overall.

I use, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable 1960's era shaver, my model without the case. I realized last time I forgot to do after a new blade putting on lubrication to the hinges, so I used my usual butter, yes that is right edible butter on the hinges as I like using that due to how the shaver feels.

I used Arko in the Harvey & Cavendish tin with the cheap Asian Bush and every time the brush had hairs falling out lost about 10--15 more hair this time only short or thin wires only after the previous losses of about 10--15, 10--15, 20--25, 15--20, and finally 40--50 in order from day one. I did have to put more of the Arko cream on the moustache as the soap just got soaked up due to the dry air in winter when I went to go do that part of the face and it soaked up right away because I go thinner than probably most people even with Arko and a bush. I did an 70% clean just before doing the moustache and some touchup on chin where I cut myself and then did final cleanup later.

I think I will be shaving before the shower each day.

The Arko shaving cream with the bush seems to be helping the shave. I am no longer concerned about hair loss as I am having less and less of the hairs falling out during use now where the first big part was just the break in with hair loss due to being so cheap.

I just hope I did not go too cheap for my shaving brush but if I did, I would buy one of the synthetic brush travel shavers from a Chinese brand with the same unpainted anodized Aluminum in the same size as one I have that cost is a bit more, then keep all the spare parts from original as backup except for the brush part.

Those in the USA looking for a cheap travel brush that uses Boar/ unbleached most likely domestic boar they do not need to worry about the loss of during travel. They might have the same Brush on Your Countries Amazon that is like this.
