Saturday's Cold Water Shave
Fat February

Cold Water Rinse
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger
Gem Open Comb Damaskeene
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Duru Cologne

It is the last day this week with the Open Comb Damaskeene razor, and a good week it was.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Open Comb Damaskeene razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

28th February...

I'm pretty tired today and I always worry about shaving when I'm tired but things seemed to be very straightforward tonight. I think this Pal #3 razor is extremely user friendly and would be a super place for new wet shavers to start - my thoughts only of course. I wish someone would have told me about them when I began. Anyway, better late than never to injectors...

Lovely Signature Soap tonight Brian. Thanks Si @Scorpio93 for the very kind Pif.

Today at 11:40 am during the shower

Today's shave during the shower was 10/10.
I used dial 2 then 4 with 0 cuts, because I at first shaver over had moved the dial down to 2 by mistake then corrected the mistake to 4. I got about a 0.5 up from BBS shave on entire face. Today was Personna USA 100 pack 2017, day 4 bottom, 20 total shaves. I do know I might have to end this blade earlier due to the skipping of shaves but who knows as I have been mostly only missing a day between shaves. I did go back for a quick touchup no shaving cream on the chin on the face as well as the lower lip area.

I used as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable 1960's era.

I did not due to a shave in the shower so I did not use Arko in a Harvey & Cavendish tin I have with the cheap Chinese Travel Bush with Boar brush so yesterday it was 1, then another 1, yet another 1, 0, then 3, then another 3, 5, then 5, again 5, yet again 5, still another 5, 10, 12--15, 5, 10--15, 10--15, 10--15, 10--15, 20--25, 15--20, and finally on day one 40--50 in order from day one. The brush was kind of overpacked with hair inside the brush part that was kind of stiff on the first 3 uses before the hairs softened up but has softened up to the right amount at around 8--10 shaves and seems to be staying there or close enough to that for shaving. *Eventually I am just going to stop counting but not until the blade I am using is done but I will let people know if the shaver has 5 or more hairs lost after the current blade is done.

Keeping this up for the month of February:
Those in the USA looking for a cheap travel brush that uses Boar/ unbleached, most likely domestic boar given the softness of bush head that is not Badger or synthetic soft that they do not need to worry about the loss of during travel. They might have the same Brush on Your Countries Amazon a similar model like this.

The good old vintage Yardley soap with the vintage Culmak brush, a nice pairing. The shave as usual with the La Faulx smooth, close and efficient, finished with the SV Tundra Artica, which for some reason goes really nice with the Yardley?
Lovely shave no issues.

There was a time when that brand was really equal to about the few other small hi end choices of the best there wqs. Long time ago it was hard to find even online for any decent price but worth it because of performance and ease of making wonderful lather. Plus it lasts a looooong time.

Sonds like yours has fragrance left! That was another thing being hit or miss as with mine having 0 scent but still worth using forr sure.

Nice pic,

Martin
