Once upon a time there were three little pigs
The first built a house made of straw
The second built a house made of sticks
The third built a house made of bricks

They were all part of the government scheme to build 6½ million houses out of any old odds and sods they could find to help meet a manifesto pledge. Discarded crisp packets apparently don't work very well

One day a big bad wolf came by the straw house of the first pig and said....

'Little pig, little pig, please let me in'

And the little pig said....

'Not by the hair on my chinny, chin, chin, will I let you in'

The big bad wolf replied...

'What the fuck? You've gor hairs on your chinny, chin, chin? Then you need to get over to TSR and learn how to bloody shave!'

And there was no huffing or puffing, and the big bad wolf left in disgust and pissed off to participate in some other fable.

'Now, who's this Little Red Riding Hood?'

And so here I am, and I have finally arrived at my shave themed, 'Be afraid, be very afraid'. A shave which includes blood, guts (just don't ask how I shave, and where), horror and a complete clown.

'Not That man! Satanfuckingwho?'

Scary razor - Ikon B1
Afraid of sharp things? - Polsilver Lodz
A Big Boooooooo brush - Yaqi Dandelion
Scared shitless soap - Signature Wicstun
Michael Myers moisturiser - Nivea for men
Perturbed perfume - YSL Homme

'Burn Satan? Don't make me laugh'

From one extreme to the other. Last night the fairy Feather of the Shaving world with the AS-D2, and tonight that viscous bastard, the B1. And yes, there was blood shed in the name of being the smoothest ugly man in the village. Fortunately they were just a few weepers, not through gross stupidity. I do enough of that in my life.

And the Wicstun? Since I am over in the latter name for Wicstun, Market Weighton, it is only honourable to the Lord of Bolton, Mr Brian Signature, that I use his soap of the same name. It is a good job I am not in Twatt or Shitterton.

And they all shaved happily ever after

And since @Mark12 complained about the high standard of the Japanese ladies from last night, then take this you whinging git...

That’s more like it! Horrendous!

She looks like she won that keyboard in a cracker! :ROFLMAO:

Kiiiiii really are a special group of young ladies…

30
SR: Gillette Tech "Hybrid" 40's
Blade: Wilkinson
Brush: Semogue SOC
Cream: Avon Musk Marine "NOS"
AS: Pinaud Cognac Neat
Nice model, I have read comments this model is like a 3 piece 1947--1949 Aristocrat in how it shaves being so mild.

Razor = Occam’s Oren ***
Blade = Feather Pro Guard ( 2 )
Brush = Simpson’s T3
Cream = Vintage Coates Almond
Splash = Myrsol Blue
Balm = Gillette Post Shave Balm.
View attachment 143246Decided to go with My other coates and again it was a great choice. This cream is as dry as a nuns
eh whatever nuns have lol but it’s dry
A little scoop in to a bowl, a tad of hot water & it ends up in a wonderful lather.
Exactly like @LESLIE ASARE said it’s definitely lost its scent but i do get traces of Almond at times.
Another 10/10 & now i need to start finding stuff to get away to work sadly
That is about as minimal a shaver can get for a bladed safety model.

I have before thought about doing something similar to the Gillette 7 O'clock , Wilkinson, or Cheap Chinese, one of these 3 plastic models by cutting the blade holes on the bottom as exposed as it could be for hair falling out that works, like making the two holes one single hole and reinforcing the safety comb if I need to and having the top as open as it could be yet is still holding the blade in the shaver at the proper angle as on the top the inner material does not need to be there. Oh, and something I would do to all those models even if not modifying is if the handle part is hollow into the fixed top plate is find something like tape and superglue to cover the hole in the top plate for keeping water out of the handle.

Noble Otter “Jack”
SOC Cherrywood boar
ATT M1 Kronos handle
Brazilian Wilkie #5
NO “Jack” aftershave
Attar clone of Roja Elysium Per Homme

Noble Otter set purchased on TSR Buy & Sell, a lemon, lime and juniper scent. The soap gave a smashing shave and the aftershave feels good on the face leaving a subtle citrus scent. Last day of the year, have a prosperous New Year one and all!

I put a racer in an R41 clone on Monday and got a bloodbath so a more aggressive razor was not the answer.

I put a Lord Platinum in the shield yesterday and got a much better shave. still felt crunchy or scratchy and didn't get close enough but acceptable.

back to a racer today in this 1976 aluminum handled tech and not bad at all. I think this is the sweet spot in aggression for these blades. it was feeling tuggy by the end so it's a one and done but useable this way. still doesn't get me close enough but ok for comfort. the challenge is that it takes a lot of passes to get everything completely smooth which can lead to irritation if I overdo it. I would not buy any more racers but I can work through the 40 blades I have left this way. I was close to giving up and binning them before today.

thus ends my experience of LordDecember. I only used Lord blades this month and it was fun to experiment and try them back to back, use the same gear with them all and compare just the blades against each other.

it mostly reinforced my existing thoughts. I would get more Silver Star and Lord Platinum in future if I ever run out. especially the newer Lord Platinums with the black background that came with the Lord Premium razor, those are nicely smooth and sharp. the Shark are ok too but not the best of the ones I've tried. I think the racer are quite similar to the astra SP that they emulate the packaging of and I don't like those either so that makes sense. the Silver Star are kind of similar to nacets.

I'll finish up these tucks and still rotate using Lord blades in future but also looking forward to using some other brands again as well.

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #119 Synthetic
Gillette NEW Short Comb
Gillette Silver Blue
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aqua Velva Musk

The Williams Mug Shave Soap was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #119 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette NEW Short Comb Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
