A rather rushed morning shave...

Off out to a family gathering very soon and decided I looked a bit ragged so shaved. The Wilkinson Sword blade #2 clipped me under the nostril today. Moral of the story being don't rush! Otherwise, all was well and I'm smelling like a dream.

I definitely feel that my New Year's shaving resolution should be to work out what I do with my left hand while I use my right to hold the razor. All of you with filthy minds should understand that I mean using the left to manipulate the face etc as currently I don't do that. :giggle:

Have a lovely day...

Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Cella Shave Soap
Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger
Superior Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Cella After Shave Balm

The Cella Shave Soap was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Good to know as we have similar tastes such as Soitfire as Mr Taylor’s.
If you love Mr Taylor’s you’ll love Grafton Cologne by Truefitt and Hill as it is almost identical, however Grafton is more animalistic and presents as a more refined version of Mr Taylor’s plus it lasts all day, which is handy as Mr Taylor’s is good but tends to dissipate after an hour or two which is the only thing that lets it down. T&H do everything but a hard soap in the Grafton range, very tempting indeed. If you ever get the chance to get a bottle of Grafton let me know as would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Back to the faithful Weber which you just can’t beat @SpeedyPC. I’ve put the Eucris bowl to good use with the sub par GFT soap inline to be used in the shower, such a shame

Is this a special blade only shaver or could the shaver use a modern scraper blade in an emergency pinch?

Soap - Arko Hydrate
Brush - Omega GFS Wild Hog
Razor - Gillette Rocket
Blade - Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge Golden Pack (4)
AS - Denim Original

I'm still set to finish this tube of Arko, and today I accidentally emptied out most of the tube of Arko Hydrate onto the brush in one final squeeze and there was far more cream for one shave, so I put the rest of it into an empty tub I had in the bathroom. I'm getting there though, but I think the end is almost here!
A lovely lather as I have been building with this brush and soap but the shave itself wasn't the best. I had a bit of a spot or blemish that I had overlooked, and when I went over it with the blade it lead to a weeper that was a little tricky to stop bleeding! This is what the lonely alum block was intended for, and it did the job in the end.
