The "Rare" KAI Captain folder is rarely seen these days in SOTD's, it is a very good bit of kit to use and gives a shave very similar to the Feather DX folder, a very efficient bit of kit. A nice bit of Sunday sink time before doing battle against a very strong willed little Terrier ;) :cool: :ROFLMAO:.
Ha ha wait until that teenager phase kicks in.
Is he a baby crocodile atm?
Yes Johnny, a real shark on a leash, if we can get him to sit still long enough to get a leash on him, his collar training and harness training has been good but adding that extra bit sends him into a play frenzy,
Baby Croc is a very good analogy. :love:
Enjoy your day all.

Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge (pre-2021) Shaving Soap & Highlander Omega Professional Pure Bristle
KAMPFE Tech (Aluminium) & Kingston Ultra Platinum XT (3)
Ach Brito Lavanda Eau de Cologne

Stunning! Three perfect shaves. Absolutely lovin' the Kingston!

Over the last few weeks I've been trying out a load of (new?) Indian blades bought from RBC.

Going back through them ...

Kingston Ultra Platinum XT - staggeringly good, absolutey up there with Personna Platinum Chrome
Statum Platinum Chrome - seriously good, before trying the Kingston I would have said "absolutey up there with Personna Platinum Chrome"
Sunny Supreme Stainless - superb workhorse blade, better than SuperMax basic stainless offerings ... better than RK, too
Pro500 Cryo-Platinum - crisp and sharp, otherwise fairly ordinary but very capable
Pro500 Hi-Tech Super Platinum - crisp and sharp ... suspect it's the same blade
Gallant Chromium Super Stainless - good, honest workhorse blade ... but more refined; better than RK Chromium
Vertice ShaveX Platinum - super-smooth versus crispness of the rest of their line-up
Vi-John Master Stroke Chrome Platinum - made by Tigaksha, it's sharp and capable but forgiving
Super Power Super Platinum - another Tigaksha and somewhat legacy with a feeling of the older/poorer Vidyut
Ultra-Man Super Platinum - seethingly sharp!!! Made by RK ... like a smoother RK Pro Edge, just sharper

For me, the ones I will absolutely be buying a saloon pack of ...

Kingston Ultra Platinum XT ... fell in love from shave one
Statum Platinum Chrome ... dwingling supplies, so need a top-up
Gallant Chromium Super Stainless ... love my workhorse stainless blades, but this brings refinement to the party

... and maybe some Ultra-Man Super Platinum given how insanely sharp they are, for those occasions when something more than Feather is required. @Johnny Bravo you were looking and if you're in for something as sharp as those Bruce Lees well, this could be it ... with a dodgy 'tache.

Razor = Karve CB
Blade = Brazillian enox ( 3 )
Brush = Simpson’s T3
Soap = Wickhams 1912 Apricus
Splash = Myrsol Don Miguel
Balm = Nivea Original.

IMG_0218.pngThird use on this blade and i feel it actually getting better, Whether it’s my imagination i don’t know however i’m normally 3 & out only because i have so many to get through.
In fact i’ll never get through them in my lifetime.
The Wickhams is a fantastic soap,
No disrespect for the guys across the pond but i’d happily buy european soaps especially British.
Most are top drawer and i don’t get shafted on shipping costs.
Off course there’s absolutely nothing wrong with soaps from elsewhere iv certainly got plenty however for me the shipping is getting out of hand.

Mon 3rd August

Aleppo soap - Shave pre wash
Omega 11126 boar
P & B Citra Royale
Alpha Spirit
Schick Proline ( 3 )
Tuff Green A/S Lotion

As usual a very pleasant Shave with The Spirit, especially good at clearing along the edges of the lower lip which often poses s problem. I am currently trialing the Aylesworth Atelier very similar to the Spirit in looks but so far feels more agressive and cuts a very close finish.
