Topped up the Shaving Bowl before I shaved as reserve depleted. Pleased that Lather produced was rich and creamy,making fora very pleasant Shave.

Today I went slightly Vintage and broke out my superb Gillette Slim Twist that is also my birth year razor.
It gave me an excellent two pass face shave and mixed with a good dose of Vintage Old Spice aftershave means my wife is going to be a lucky lady tonight, if she behaves ha ha.

I've probably asked you before, I'm getting old and forgetful these days. Glad you didn't get washed away! There are some victims that have still not been found, and some bodies were washed into Tennessee. Some of the areas up there where I used to go are probably unrecognizable now.

Brush - Yaqi Everest synthetic
Razor - Gillette Tech (1970’s)
Blade - Astra SP (1)
Balm - Nivea ReplenishIng
Aftershave - TGS Savage

Nice, close, fairly comfortable shave this evening. All the bits and pieces worked together well, but I still have problems with old Gillette razors (although this one was NOS, so is old but not old, sort of!) - I must be doing something wrong as I find them a bit scrapey and occasionally bitey, whilst I rarely have any issues with Merkur’s or Muhle’s. Mind you geometry was never my strength! End result was very good, but it took a while to get there. Another great soap this and possibly my favourite Yaqi brush.

Looks like you need some tung oil on that brush handle, but use the real stuff, this is the one I use.

Cracking shave with the diver down although i forgot this one contained menthol and my eyes are streaming
i really like the post shave feel with menthol but sometimes it’s just a bit overpowering.
Anyway shaving blind folded is something that needs done now and again lol
The Brush is the star of the show.
