Wednesday 8th April...

A very sunny and warm day today but I'm quite tired after a lot of walking. The Nacet #3 continues to impress with another supreme shave without issue. One oddity to report is that I'm having to reload the brush much more often than at home. The lather is very thin at times and that's with two different soaps which normally lather very well indeed. No idea why - maybe hard water rather than soft water? Anyway, the shave was excellent.

Enjoy your evening...

Aleppo soap - Shave pre wash
Cyril Salter - MS Ed2band
Vitos Super Red
Claymore Evolution V1
Feather Pro ( 6 )
Massimo Dutti A/S Lotion

Somehow have been misidentifying my Razors, thinking that this EVo is a RR Hawk V3, and actually calling it a Hawk in mt SOTD.
Must put it down to old age.
Had a back to back Shave today, should do it more often as. It was extremely smooth with a great close

Today's shave at 3:30 pm.

Today's shave before the shower was a 9.5/10, using dial 2 then moving to dial 3 with 1 micro mini cut. I got a BBS shave. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 12 top/total shaves.

Unless on a plane or similar deal where I can't deal with own luggage I will be using my Micro Touch One pre Rick Harris endorsed. So I used like always my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable 1960's era unless it breaks or starts failing for daily use, then I use my unknown year backup of Gillette Adjustable 1960's era where the current one if still usable becomes the backup

I did use Arko in a Harvey & Cavendish tin I have with the cheap Chinese Travel Bush with unbleached Boar hairs. I had 1 short hair come out and that was all. I am still thinking Domestic Boar like a Potbelly Pig for the Boar hair.

I did use the Arko on the lid of the Harvey & Cavendish tin again to build up a soap and I used less soap than I do when trying to get the soap from the stick to lather up and try to grab the lather I made on the stick. This method of Arko on the cap also made a better, still thin, but soapy lather then when using just the stick and face with brush. I did when done rinse off the lid and dry inside off when done so I do not have a sticky or lid that could leak out some soap or suction/stick the lid on that water could do as well. This is currently my shave method outside of shaving during the shower for now until I change tins to a bigger tin or use something else like a secondary bowl for normal home use. I also had again the lather perfect for the tin's lid due to where I did need to add a little extra soap but not much. I had to add to moustache and upper chin more soap as it soaked in during the shave.

, using dial 3 then moving to dial 4 with 1 micro mini cut on moustache due to not enough Arko soap then going too hard on my chin to get 3 mini cuts. I got a BBS shave. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 13 top/total shaves.

I also had again the lather perfect for the tin's lid due to where I did need to add a little extra soap but not much. I had to add to everything but moustache I did first some more Arko soap as I originally did not add enough to the shave then went too aggressive on my chin due to one small spot getting a hair too much soap. Lucky the shower kept the blood to a minimum.

Thursday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Shannon's Soaps Indigo Oud Shave Soap
Jayaruh #425 Synthetic
Schick Stick Injector Razor
Personna Injector Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Derby Chop Shop After Shave Tonic

The Shannon's Soaps Indigo Oud Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #425 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick Stick Injector Razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Derby Chop Shop After Shave Tonic. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

1000020986.jpg

Pre shave: Hot shower and Neutrogena glycerin soap bar
Razor: 1960 Gillette 195 Adjustable (7)
Blade: Feather (7)
Brush: Yaqi Sigrada Familia 24mm synthetic
Bowl: Captains choice copper
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the arctic
Post shave: Nivea men sensitive cool post shave balm

A very nice fresh mentholated shave this afternoon with FatBeauty.
3 smooth passes with a hint of that signature Feather prickle on the third pass ATG, but no tugging, so the blade may or may not need to be banked next time.
We'll see.

Margaritas in the arctic was the perfect mix of citrus scent and a refreshing amount of menthol for this intermittently sunny day.

Finished off with Niveas cool balm.

Hope you all have great shaves and a great close to the week!
