I have a Canon 300D which is ancient, but can still be made to take a good picture. I also have some compact or other, a Sony I think ... had to buy it in a rush in Belgium after leaving my other one in a taxi in London. Yokel!
Anyway, I'm looking to kind of bring the two together ...
The compact takes technically way superior shots to my Canon, but I love the Canon otherwise and have a stack of lenses, mostly M42 screw in types which are manually focussed.
The Sony Nex looks like the answer.
I don't have a huge budget and as you can see, I'm pretty low-brow. Does the Nex do what I think? Basically, a compact with the ability to strap whatever lenses on; like a bridge camera, but better?
Not wanting to spend a lot, could I drop into the older end like the 3/5 without feeling too disappointed compared to an 18 month old compact?
Thoughts ...
