Hi it's Brian, signaturesoaps.co.uk I call it Hybrid because it is a semi-soft shaving soap with the qualities of a shaving cream. It lathers rapidly, provides excellent cushion and slip and leaves a lovely post shave feel. My customer tell me thisI'm feeling a bit enabled here! Might have a go.
Do you know what they mean by 'Hybrid' soap?

Welcome Brian. We look forward to your insight.Hi it's Brian, signaturesoaps.co.uk I call it Hybrid because it is a semi-soft shaving soap with the qualities of a shaving cream. It lathers rapidly, provides excellent cushion and slip and leaves a lovely post shave feel. My customer tell me this
If I can scoop it with my finger it's a cream. I don't care how people market it.
For a shaving soap that is somewhere between the consistency between a firm soap and a watery cream (one that can be squeezed out of a tube) I like the term 'croap', as a description and it's one I use to describe Cella, TFS etc.
Received my Signature Soap and given it a try. I chose the 'Hibernian' scent and got a sample size of 'Mamucium' along with it.
Firstly, I must say how nice both scents are. I believe they are all essential oil based and the Mamucium, which I chose to start with, has a delightful, zesty citrus scent. This surprised me a little, as the advertised scent is lavender, eucalyptus and chamomile but to my nose this combination spells 'citrus'. I asked Mrs Globalm to smell it, and she too thought the initial impact was citrus and classified it as an 'Eau de Cologne'. Very nice scent anyway!
I face-lathered with a synthetic. Brush loading was very easy - it's a 'croap' really - and lather is easy to build and of good quantity and texture. The scent remained clear throughout use. Lather was protective and slick with no nicks or irritation despite a new blade in the razor (Razorock Hawk with Softguard blade). Very slight residual scent was noted after rinsing.
Excellent shave - excellent product.
Glad you like it. I'll pop another Mamucium in the post, I've just done a new batch. Regards BrianReceived my Signature Soap and given it a try. I chose the 'Hibernian' scent and got a sample size of 'Mamucium' along with it.

I've chatted with Brian and he reckons I might have got a mis-labelled sample so I'll report back when the replacement arrives.Glad you like it. I'll pop another Mamucium in the post, I've just done a new batch. Regards Brian
