Soap or cream

hi since I started last year I have been using soaps, but tried searching but no luck, so what's the difference between soap and cream and what made you pick either one ?

Thanks

Creams are easier to lather; soaps last forever and there are more of them, hence more variety of scents. Tallow-based soaps give the best cushion and glide, but vegi-soaps are also good. Some creams are on a par with the best soaps. It's all a matter of choice. YMMV

I started using creams for a year or so, thought soaps were too drying and difficult. Now I love soaps; I love tallow and lanolin. Still keep a few creams and use them around once a week. Creams don't last as long as soaps, which is great if your want to buy more stuff, like I do

Yeah, I still use mostly creams - easier to lather and also easier to dispense (if in tubes) but there's something about the alchemy of transforming hard soap into soft lather that appeals when I have more time.
