So, I got a vintage brush ...

Now, what do I do with it. It´s very nice looking and the hair feels like it´s ready for action, but do I really want to do that? :? My motto is that I should use everything I collect, but I feel a little unsure if it´s really wise/good in this case. Maybe I should trade it for another brush? Fido!? The one to the left is 24 mmm silvertip standing 100 mm tall.

It's a good job I'm not into vintage brushes.

Pure badger is unlikely to compete with the silvertip for your affection. But surely you still haven't used it? There is no way a brush will enter my house and not be given a run out quite soon.

It looks like a relative of the two Vulfix brushes pictured here:

Rev: Thank you, now I´ve to try her out. I was unsure if the hair would still be good after 60 yrs +- 20 ?

Fido: No, it´s never been used, yet :hungrig . Thank you guys, if you think the hair will be fine I´ll use her for sure (is a brush a she or he?)!

PS: Very nice Vulfixes Fido! You could be right, maybe a relative? Do you have anything on this brand, it´s allways fun to have a little history on your toys

When google throws up references only to the likes of Ebay you know you have something from the pre internet era. Perhaps Vulfix have a brush historian who takes an interest in these things. You could email or telephone them. Or post on another forum if nobody can come up with anything here.

Tell me about it, I´m having trouble finding info about a straight razor, Heljestrand B K 42, even Neil doesn´t know much about it. But he´s still searching though. Do you have a name/e-mail for Vulfix (or I´ll google them ). Thanks Fido!

The absolute only reference I can find to a 'Busmar' trade name is for a make of 1950s motorcycle sidecars. Maybe this brush was made as a marketing thingie / accessory / merchandise for Busmar Sidecars?

Thank you Henk! I am a motorcykle guy, but I never owned a side wagon, so this would be my first :D
