Off on holiday and bored so thought I would scoop up a razor for £4 inc postage on eBay to restore
Really tatty so it was a punt
Arrived today
Looks like head had a chrome (pot metal)finish and the handle brass so looks like a frankenrazor

Gave it a covering in vinegar/salt/flour paste
Fine Abranet on head
Ultrasonic cleaner
Peek polish
Lots of elbow grease

Came up ok
Took the head back to brass finish so whether it will shave ok is another story

Just shaved with it and this little £4 razor has given me BBS and one of the best shaves I've ever had. What gives!

Minted job Sir....I love brass...The only thing is I found with a brass DE is that sticking it into anything near really hot water will roast your coupon off as they don't disperse the heat....Its sore an all....
