Single edge razor of the day.

I find the Hawk to be a super shaver despite the fact I don't find it the most user friendly of razors and can be awkward. Plus not the best manufactured of the SE brigade....

From your posts you seem to be a big fan of AC blades & shaves!
How does (if it can) the best AC razor & blade compare to an old everready & GEM?

One is a Formula One from the 2000s, the other a Formula One from the 1920s.
Real men, real race cars, no buttons on the steering wheel!

I like view of @pjgh on the matter and pretty true.

Out of the two? I'd take the AC blade first. Wider, quicker, smoother, closer. Gems are great, but whoever said they are have the sound of toast being scraped is not far off.

Sandpaper vs butter

Would you reccomend a Feather Pro Super as a good blade for my Hawk?

Supers are not to everyone's taste, but I rather like them. I usually have a Super Pro in the Hawk and found them fine. Just like anything else, it just takes a tad more care and attention.

Recently though I've been using a Schick Proline and getting quite sublime results.
