The sheer size/ weight of The Occams Hiram Commander is a bit off-putting , but once in the hand that bulk disappears and it is quite agile and easy to use. IMHO far superior to The King Cobra I had for a while.

It is a lovely piece and very enjoyable to use. Despite having three full sets, I don't use these often and always have it in mind beforehand that the pattern might somehow detract from the shave. It doesn't.

Didn't they get that just right the first time around?

Super-smooth shave with the GEM Damaskeene, really quite remarkably so. Granted, it might just be that the blade is broken in, but there is something just so right about the Damaskeene.

The Yaqi Raster V2 May well be a budget offering, but when fitted with a non stock handle I find that it is very manoeuvrable and delivers very smooth and comfortable Shaves.
