Simpson Travel brush

So from B&H just ordered a simpson wee scot for my travels I have one of the old metal tubes in my kit for this, I take it I need to make sure its bone dry before packing away?
What if the tube falls upside down will this hurt the knot over time?

The tube has (at least most of mine do) ventilation holes. My plan is to shake dry, paint on the towel and pack it in the tube as late as possible.

The small knot should dry out pretty rapidly with that attention.

Great yes mine has holes too, That was the plan so thanks
