I had one until the knot disintegrated after 3 just months! While it worked it was the best brush I'd ever used. After my refund I went for a XL Edwin Jagger synthetic, which comes very close to the Simpson.

Just keep your receipt in case!Hopefully this won't happen to mine, do love this brush though.
I'm a little late to this party but let me throw my hat in the ring of those who like the Chubby 2 Synthetic.
I have had mine for about 6 months and have had no problems with it. As mentioned, it is soft, dense, and with sufficient backbone. As Simpson recommends, it is at its best when using the painting stroke.
I have a Simpson brush with super badger and a couple of pretty good boar brushes that all work great, but if I could only have one brush going forward it would be the Chubby 2 Synthetic.
Cheers,
Dennis
Looking forward to your review.I did a review of the Chubby 2 synthetic (on another forum) ... but it's in Dutch [emoji14] I am afraid Google Translate is not good enough yet for translating shave gear reviews.
I am not going to translate the whole review, but I'll post my main findings here later.
Thanks for the reminder to clean the brush once in a while. <thumbs up>Yeah had mine for over a year now and I've had no problems whatsoever with it, fantastic brush (it hasn't even shed a single hair that I've noticed). Every couple of months or so, I give mine a wash with Johnsons Baby shampoo (due to it been a mild shampoo). Simpson recommends shampooing the brush with a normal hair shampoo this in the care section on their website.
