Just done another test lather, this time with the Hibernia. Another great smelling soap and a very nice feeling lather. I can see these soaps becoming some favourites!
Glad it suited your skin. Goats Milk shaving and bar skins do seem to help users with skin difficultiesUsed the Goat's Milk this morning and was very impressed! Hollywoodjohn describes it very well. Will point out that I have photosensitive skin and many of the shaving soaps that are for 'sensitive' skin still irritate me. The Goat's was so nice that post-shave I did not feel an urgent need for an aftershave balm to calm things down. Bottom line (with the caveat that it has only been one shave) - excellent shaving soap! Looking forward to seeing the review(s) of the Mamicium.

Sorry about thatI presume this reply was intended for myself but with Tony's name instead of mine?

Brian,The Goats Milk is particularly good for Eczema Psoriasis and those prone to skin sensitivity - it is unfragranced but I'm going to do a couple of fragranced versions using essential oils that are compatible
The goats is unfragranced as it's ideal for those with Eczema and psoriasis but I'm planning a couple of fragranced versionsBrian,
The Goats is great as it is, however, if you could add just a bit of nicely scented essential oil without adversely affecting the outstanding qualities it currently has then think it would be excellent. Suppose it can be a bit of a tightrope if you try to and improve a product that is already superb though.

Thanks Rob, glad you liked it. You'll have to pop over to Ramsbottom Farmers Market (2nd Sunday of the month) or Rawtenstall Farmers and Artisan Market (4th Sunday of the month) and see the full range. They're not far down the road from you.I was going to wait till tomorrow to try out my sample, but I arrived home cold, wet, miserable and with what felt like the starting of a cold, so as I came in through the door I decided to have a nice hot shower. On the stairs in front of me were 2 not so little pots that had arrived yesterday, so I thought “Why not?â€.
Because I was feeling a little sniffly, I chose the Eboracum sample “That'll clear my tubes out a bit...â€
Now, like @Tony'schin , Peppermint isn't really my thing. Well, it is now.
Plenty has been said upthread about the consistency and lather by people with a far better turn of phrase than me so I'm not going to labour the point, but this is a very, very good soap which produces a rich, slick and cushioning lather. It's a little thirsty I think, but (that's) not really an issue.
I bloomed the soap while I was in the shower, and used about half of the blooming water as a pre-shave, then used the remainder to help load up the brush (MÜHLE Silvertip synth). I wanted a big hit of the Peppermint so I face lathered and wasn't disappointed, it definitely got the sinuses working again! Like @donnie_arko I didn't get much of the cedar, the dominant scent is clearly the peppermint.
With my iKon OSS and a fresh Polsilver Åódź I got a great 3 pass BBS, and there was enough lather left in the brush for me to squeeze it out for a nice face wash, leaving me with a great post shave feel.
This soap is definitely going in my rotation, it's really, really good, buy some.
@BrianH, nice one!
I know Rammy well, sounds like a plan!Thanks Rob, glad you liked it. You'll have to pop over to Ramsbottom Farmers Market (2nd Sunday of the month) or Rawtenstall Farmers and Artisan Market (4th Sunday of the month) and see the full range. They're not far down the road from you.

I agree with this.The soap sounds great. Why not offer those sample pots for sale. ! I bet the smaller sized pots would sell well. Just a thought.

I go along with this .. smaller pot sizes also makes it easier to store when space is tight (also makes it easier to hideI agree too, they're an ideal size for a travel kit, for instance.
