I have bin there, done that, actually tried two from Zenith but my take was: To floppy! To the bin! x two!
(In hindsight I should have bought the Zenith model, B03-A26, with a 57 mm loft)
Yes, I did so just a couple of days ago on an O48, I used an electric multi tool fitted with a fine cutting disk and made four cuts through the collar making sure not to go too deep and then just pulled the plastic parts away from the resin. An easy job to do. ( if you have the tool)View attachment 30917
Anyone tried to remove the black plastic container from an Omega knot?
No the knot is not glued all the way down the collar and if you set it in your brush to where the collar top was it will remain the same, there is a 5mm gap between the top of the glue and the top of the collar. Is the knot glued just at the bottom of the container?
If you want the knot to bloom more just fix in the handle to the top of the glue, giving you an extra 5 mm of loft.Any chance the knot will "bloom" more without the container?

Might buy a couple of cheap Zenith boars from TVB, 26 mm bleached and 24 mm unbleached (have not seen any 26 mm unbleached), to play with.
