After test lather or using the brush, instead of leaving to dry naturally, have you tried using a hair dryer? I think it speeds up the break-in period, or it maybe my imagination but worth a try.8 days in and I'm still battling on with he 820... Its a bit softer and the knot has more "bloom", still eating lather though
Its only had about 15 uses now so still too early to condemn it.

Yes but also Semogue boars are well known for their lengthy break-in periods. They are good brushes, good built quality, they look good, great detailing and every wet shaver should have at least a couple Semogue boar on the shelf but my favourite boars are Omega and Zenith followed by Turkish boar brushes and the Burma Shave brush.I have been leaving it on the windowsill above a radiator so it does get dried quicker than just sitting on the dresser. You're right it does speed up the break in, I noticed after only leaving it there once the ends split a lot more.
I think yes, I bought 3 zenith boars and I can't complain about their service and postage charges. Those aluminium Zenith do look nice... Is TVB the only place to buy them from?
