Shaving Stuff from China

A friend is heading to CHina and I am wondering if there is anything worth picking up from over there. I know, I might be be easy to source an even cheaper New Forest brush if Fido would provide the address of the sweat shop!
Just kidding, but there must be some products that take a different slant on what we get over here.

The only indigenous Chinese products I've seen are Flying Eagle razors (not my bag, a milder shave you can only achieve by not shaving), Dinosaur blades (think torn rusty drink can), Flying Eagle blades (same)...

I was over in China last month. Not much there.

There is a member over at B&B, his name is scottish steve; he currently lives in the Shanghai surrounding area. From what he describes in a thread over in the other forum, "...unfortunately there is a dearth of real shaving gear around..."

You may want to PM him, however don't expect much (reportedly he has left his R89 and soaps back in Europe and currently struggles to shave with a ...Muji soap over there!)
In addition, Asians in general don't have that obsession with wet shaving. One of the reasons is that stubble growth and density for them is much slower by nature.
