Will be heading to Manila next month, and wondering if there are any decent local products, and retailers in Manila?

Lioking to bring goods home with me; well-packed in checked-in luggage. Have done this from many countries.
 
How ironic your post! Recently, an older Filipina acquaintence I know is going to visit her home country for a month or so in Nov. with her husband. She has promised me to bring back a hanger or two of the Gillette Rubie Ultra Stainless, the most difficult of modern Gillette blades to acquire. You may want to buy some as I am sure a few of the UK posters here would like some. ;)

iv been trying to get some for 18 months or so but still zilch.
i have 2 or 3 blades left :cry:
 
I have a friend heading over to the Philippines in December. He said he'll try to get some via Shopee. Happy to send some out if he comes up with the goods.

Your roving reporter TomG with an update.
I have scoured the chemists and supermarkets in Manila; only disposables. I have some Philippino friends here who made multiple enquiries - it seems the Gillette Rubie Ultra Stainless DE blades most definitely exist, but only from local on-line pharmacy suppliers.
I will follow up once I have secured some.

Update - I checked > 40 pharmacies and several supermarkets in Manila; disposable versions only.
Time constraints did not allow online order.
But never fear - I am not defeated. I have arranged for a bulk order using in-country contacts, which I anticipate will reach me by the end of the month.
