I don't know if this is of use to any of you but I have this on my shave cabinet and it just stops the kids from touching ( I don't think they would) Better to be safe then sorry:http://www.babysecurity.co.uk/products/1722/
It works great My cabinet door is around 1 inch thick and it works like a gem I don't have a handle on it just this,
