Shaving Brush Recommendation

I'd recommend looking at the Oumo range of brushes on Ali Express. Their knots are really impressing me and I've got quite a few brushes. The knots I have had have ridiculous gel tips that feel really nice and luxurious on the face.

I can't imagine the executive shaving brushes will be as good as what you could get direct from China.

The good ones might be out of your budget.

I'd go with this Simpson Polo 8 in Super. End-game brush for creams.

Meaning it's quite good. I have it in Best Badger and it's my best brush for bowl lathering creams.

Runner up is the Simpson Captain 2. I love it.

In terms of value for money quality and performance I'd say the Colonel is hard to beat.

Took the plunge and went for the Polo 8 in the Silvertip. Simpson still charged for postage too!!!

Any tips for maintaining the brush? Read online about shampooing it???

Some people use shampoo but I'm not convinced , I periodically soak in borax solution or white vinegar to break down the soap / scale. Depends on how hard your water is.

Second shave with the Polo 8 this morning.
No where near as foamy as I'd have hoped.
