Going to work my way through the various razors to see which can be reasonably kept. What a hidden gem this is, I'd actually forgotten I had it! A jewel from the Nile combo!!! Very slick and as close to a BBS as I've had in a while. It stays chez Spirit.

Exactly the same set-up as yesterday, to test the efficacy of the earlier shave; was yesterdays gem a one off? No, today was excellent also.

This low cost Lord stuff has been foolishly overlooked by me, I fear. I'll try a Shark (also from the Lord stable) from Tuesday or Wednesday. A real Christmas present from the Nile.

Lovely shave. Wasnt going to bother, but i was sat at my GFs rubbish my face, thought i felt abit stubbly, then realised i had no time to shave tomorrow due to work so just had a quick shave.
Didnt spend ages doing it but im pretty damn smooth :cool:

Hunny, how do you know it's a 1955 razor? None of my Rockets have date codes.

I was talking to a house clearance man the other day about razors he says they just chuck all the contents of the bathroom in the skip, without checking or sorting as "it's too much hassle". I think the misconceptions about old razors being unhygienic and not worth any money still stand. I hate to think what he must be throwing away, but he wouldn't budge on the issue.

What a waste.
