Just had a very satisfying 'night shave' consisting of:
Neutrogena Visibly Clear face mask
Semogue 1305 brush
Gillette '56 Flairtip Superspeed razor
Kai blade
Mama Bear Wild Mint & Ivy soap
Proraso Pre/Post used as an aftershave balm
The 1305 is really getting there now after a few weeks of intermittent use. Part of it must be my technique improving as I become used to the differences between a boar and a badger brush. The MB scent is perfect for a night shave and the Proraso has cooled my face nicely while I watch We Are Klang on the iPlayer. :lol:

Picked up a jar of Pecksniff's 'cream' yesterday. Actually, it appears to be a glycerine soap rather than a cream. It didn't produce masses of lather, but it seems to work. Scent is really weak, though.

Extra pass required
Mild mint Listerine was surprisingly pleasant and cooling
and didn't burn at all.
Medicated talc used to knock back a touch of stickiness.

I am coming to like the AV & 444 mixture VERY COOLING Mental Menthol zing! I find that only a tiny mount of 444 is needed, too much leave a "sticky" film on my face.

Did a bit of shave shopping today as I got dragged into town cos my wife wanted a dress she'd seen.
I got the brush cos i'd been thinking of trying one for a while and there was a little tube of concentrated shave cream with it. I soaked it when I got home and whipped up some palmolive lather with it to wash it off a bit. I then lathered up with the men-u cream using the amount recommended on the tube. It was a bit different from my usual lather as i usually use soaps/sticks but it definitely did the trick. Just managed to scrape enough lather to do 2 passes.
As for the Harvard, I bought it on the strength of a forum thread and it's great stuff, I put a bit on when I bought it around 2 o'clock. Went to the gym this evening and I could just about still smell it at 10 o'clock when I left after an hour of sweating my t1ts off good stuff!!

Little Late posting Sunday's Shave and I didn't shave at all Monday. Can not remember last time I didn't since learning how to shave the correct way.
