Hey gents.
Thanks for all your replies.
Do you think it could be improved in any way?
Hey gents.

Do you think it could be improved in any way?
I have always had issues with synthetics, no matter what soap I am using. I often have to go back to the soap, not just my soap.Well three shaves in and so far everyone has been different, I done the two soap test with mdc on one half of my face and No:8 on the other, the mdc with a badger performed flawlessly as usual, so no big news there, the no:8 produced a nice thick glossy lather....but, for some reason It was difficult to get from brush to face ?, it just seemed to be sticky on the brush, I used the new proraso blue pre shave tonight and thought was it sliding off that and not adhering to my face. I ended up taking the lather off the brush and applied by hand and that went fine.
The shave itself was good but the sticking to the brush is new to me, maybe a oily brush or the new proraso , I really don't know, the mdc was fine and the pre shave was all over my face, I would be interested in your thoughts. Could there be something in the soap that does not like the new blue pre ? I think this blue has shea butter in it and it did feel greasy where the old green pre was not, I still have some of that so next shave I will use that and see if it remedies the problem, The brush was loaded and the lather looked great....but would not stick to my face..very strange.
Thanks Kul.2 pass shave, used the 28mm synthetic instead of the badger.
I'm still struggling with synthetics, and had trouble building a lather that was stable. Had to go back to the soap to load a bit more. This is more my problem rather than an issue with the soap.
Once I had a decent lather, 2 pass shave, north/south then south/north. BBS results, no issues.
I haven't felt any stinging with the No8 AS, so I thought it may not have much alcohol in it. So instead of the No8, I used some Old Spice Swagger. Exactly the same results. No burning or stinging.
This soap protects!!
This has been bothering me, so this morning I lathered up same as last night but without the proraso pre shave, it was perfect...no problem at all with applying the lather...so, it obviously is the new blue pre, it feels greasy on the skin and imo sets a barrier to the lather, not what you want from a pre shave, my experiments continue but so far the soap has proved flawless and is a really nice soap, any problems that have arisen have been brush choices and this pre shave. I read all the great reports about it but none mentioned the greasieness, maybe I need to let it absorb a while :/
Bob
Try shaving without the pre shave.
Which blades do you have problem with?At this end I only use a pre oil with a new SE blade as I find them a little edgy on a first outing.
I have found with some soaps and creams an oil can change their nature
