SEptember 2017

Pre: Lots of cold water
Brush: EJ Medium PB
Soap: P&B Solaris
Razor: Rolls Razor Imperial No.2
Blade: Hollow Ground
Post: More cold water, Floid Vigoroso

After the previous two, not unpleasant but not enjoyable shaves, I decided to go more efficient and shave with the Rolls.
Boy am I glad I did, 100% concentration and a steady hand, resulted in a one and a half pass blissful experience.

Sunday 10 SEptember, first shave with the Blackland Sabre-SE

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash.
Razor - Blackland Sabre-SE.
Blade - GEM PTFE (Day 1).
Soap - Wickham Soap Company 1912 Citrus Musk.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Duke 2 Best Badger.
Post shave - Myrsol "Lemon" Aftershave Splash, followed by Ibiza Aloe - Aloe Vera Gel.

The Sabre-SE did not dissapoint, easy to get and maintain the optimal angle - good audio feedback.

My skin felt ever so slightly tight after the shave, posibly down to the first run out with that GEM blade - however, nothing to write home about.

First impressions - not as efficient as the Rocnel-GEM, however, shaving was more relaxed, as I did not have to worry about being scratched by eposed corners of the GEM, in the Sabre.

The Sabre looks a thing of beauty, excellent asethictcs and design - it performs as good as it looks.

All the best,

Chris

I know it's only a case but what a case! Great colour and matching brush. Sweet. P.

Cheers!

I just noticed myself that it's all blue - I picked my razor and the brush to match, but the aftershave and soap (colours) are pure fluke.

Yeah! Enjoyed! Now the weather has turned, I'm off the highly alcoholic Clubmans and onto the (ironically) gentler Brut(e)s.

SEptember 11th Monday

Razor....Ever Ready 1912 brass travel set
Blade....Ever Ready Corrux NOS
Brush....Simpsons ~ Wee Scot
Soap....Palmolive Stick ( Tallow )
Post BBA Post Shave Balm

A great shave from my ER 1912 and Corrux blade, face lathered with the Palmolive Stick and the Wee Scot and was suprised at how much lather this tiny brush could hold, enough for the three pass shave with some to spare!
Finnishing with the wonderful BBA PSB.

Have yourselves a happy Monday people.....

Groomed Facial Scrub
Groomed Shave Cream
Yaqi 24mm Synthetic Brush
GEM G-Bar with a GEM SS Blade
Lucky Tiger Toner/AS
Molecule 01 ISO E Super

A little more minimalistic than I had originally intended. First use of the GEM G-Bar. That is what it was sold to be as....but confirmation would be appreciated! Really smooth 3 pass shave. To me the razor felt quite mild.
