Sensor Excel for women

From what I can read the excel range were the last thing Gillette made that didn't suck. Unfortunately they don't seem too keen on marketing them anymore - only the blades.

My wife asked me to track her down a new razor. Initially I thought of loaning her one of my DEs, but I read some accounts of doing just that and the consensus was the Sensor Excel for women was the best female razor.

Anyone know where the best place to pick one up would be? I've looked in half a dozen chemists and none have it. Is there a better razor I could buy my wife?

If she's comfortable with her sexuality and can handle a man's razor then:

I have tried the Bic Sensitive and the Bic Metal as disposable alternatives for travel. I was not particularly impressed with either. Is the Sensor Excel worth trying?

the Sensor is the best Gillette cartridge razor they made

the Excel just adds some fins to the blade head, a normal one works great with a proper lather, no need for the extra stuff

i did want to like the BiC Metals but found the quality control a bit lacking

pack of 5 = 2 or 3 duds

only tried the 1 bladed BiC sensitives and they can be a bit aggresive but are still pretty decent

not on a par with the Sensor though

Agreed: it's an excellent razor, and one I'll happily use from time to time. Ironic that I bought my first Sensor after I'd started DE shaving, but it gives me as good a shave as any DE razor I own (f*** what most of the B&Bers might say about cartridges).

Might try one of those ladies' ones next :?
