Not to say that a decent shave can't be got from most of these razor and blade combinations, but, for me, the Occam's is in a league of its own

I am pretty much a novice with SE's but get on really well with my Occam, very close and comfortable with the standard #2 plate fitted.

Hi All, I was asked if I could pop a quick review about the Occam's in the SE Razor section.
I'm no expert but here goes .
I also bought the Occam's V1 version with the solid handle. It is an easy shaver, the flat handle takes a bit of getting used to but it becomes more natural each time you use it. The blade loading is a doddle, so is cleaning. I find it well balanced and it gives a smooth, comfy, close shave, I have had no issues when using it with The Captain Titan Mild and Feather Pro blades, I have only used the "comes fitted #2 plate" and this works for me. As for top lip shaving I use only part of the blade i.e. the left side of the razor on the right side top lip WTG, turning the razor for AGT using the same technique, it seems to work for me and I have had no issues or mistakes (so far ).
As I say I am still quite new to SE'S and love the vintage razors I have.
The Occam V1 will still be in my rotation regularly, even though I have a couple of top end SE's.
