SE/AC Blade Life

Hi guys, so I'm still very new to SE shaving. And I'm shocked at how many shaves you can get out of a blade. I'm currently on shave 18 and the blade is still smooth and cutting hair like it's brand new.

How many shaves do you average on a SE/AC blade? I'm currently using Proline P-30 blades. These seem to be the perfect match for my skin type.

Prolines are also my preferred choice of AC blades. I don't push them over 14 shaves even though I know I could easily squeeze a few more shaves out of them. Two weeks worth of shaves make them good value for money in my books.

I bought Occams razor some months ago and this was my first SE AC razor. I realised the AC blades were a lot more expensive than DE but I liked the idea that I'd get a lot more shaves from a blade than my usual 2 - 3 from DE.
I bought Feather Proguard blades and based on reports of others I expected at least 10 - 12 shaves from a blade.
I was gutted when I had to bin it after only 6 shaves. Its more shaves than normal from a blade but I still felt very disappointed. I do generally shave only 2 - 3 times a week so I wondered if the heavier growth contributed to the poor blade life.

I normally get ten or a dozen days worth out of any makes and their variations. It would be possible to push a blade for a couple of days more, but it hardly seems worthwhile.

I get an easy 12-14 comfortable shaves from a blade, before I discard it and could probably get a few more
