Thankyou for your kind comment but I see your questions have been fully answered by @riverrun and @Fergiebilly.@Blademonkey just wondered if you'd have any ideas to answer my question as you're the most knowledgeable man I know?
It's a common problem with a razor that has not been used or cleaned for a while .is it fixable? It may be with a good soaking and a clean but there are no guarantees but if it's cheap enough it may be worth a punt . P.@Blademonkey thanks for your reply. Maybe you could help me with a new question? I have just found a razor for sale however the bottom won't pull out, do you know if this is a common and fixable problem?
Bicarbonate of soda and an old toothbrush. There are many other kitchen or bathroom cleaners that would probably work also. P.Thanks I'll keep an eye on the bidding then. What would you soak and clean with?
Personnaly I Would Avoid Any Repeater that Does Not Pull Out or Open..In Fact..I Would Avoid Any Razor that has a Hint of a Fault..Sellers Often F them Up Mucking around with Em..Very Common..Get a Good Un or Dont Bother is My Advice..People are People & Most Aint that Bright & they Break Em..Then they DONT Own Up Like Children..@Blademonkey thanks for your reply. Thanks, maybe best to stay away then. I Have Imported Well Over 100 Razors from the USA..I Have Been Caught with Custom Charges about 8 Times in that Figure or Less..They are All USA Versions..Schick Razors were Not Aimed at Europe at that Time & Were Normally Brought in By Individual High End Barbers or Retailers in London or Say Paris or Somewhere..@Fergiebilly so it could potentially work if only putting one blade in the magazine at a time? Obviously that takes away from the point of the razor but it could then be used on occasion if wanted? I'll have a look on the USA version then. Is there a customs charge for razors? I've bought from the USA before for different things and sometimes get nothing and others get a very hefty bill.
Thank you for all the knowledge, I love to know what i can about the razors I own/want to own. I'd rather not tinker as I don't want to damage such a great razor, however I definitely want to own a working condition one still.I Have Imported Well Over 100 Razors from the USA..I Have Been Caught with Custom Charges about 8 Times in that Figure or Less..They are All USA Versions..Schick Razors were Not Aimed at Europe at that Time & Were Normally Brought in By Individual High End Barbers or Retailers in London or Say Paris or Somewhere..
Loading One Blade into a Magazine is Quite Illogical as its a Complex Long Road..Also..Loading One Blade in the Mag Can Seriously Jam it Up..The Blade is Thinner & Can Get Hung Up Solid..The Blades Often Will Not Feed through the Exit Slot..Like Putting the Wrong Coin in a Slot Machine..
As I Said..You Can Get it Away it for a Moment..Then Bang..Jam..Razor Jammed..Another thing..Many of the Original Magazines are Damaged..Most of Em..They were Disposable..The Magazine & Blades Came Factory Pre Loaded..These Razors were Never Meant to be Opened & Closed at Random..They are Not Tinker Proof & Most Folks Tinker with Em & Muck Em Up..These Razors are Also Very Old..Exceptional Design..Its a Wonder they Survive Intact at All..Thats Why NOS Ones Fetch High Prices..
But..Hey..Feel Free to Tinker..Its You're Razor..

I too would like a working repeating Schick, and I am still on the look out for one, fortunately I bagged a Schick B2 recently which I am very pleased with. It shaves really well, but at first when I found part of the spring mechanism was missing I was a bit disappointed. However after much googling and advice from those such as @Fergiebilly it became clear that loading a modern blade by hand was the best and safest option.Thank you for all the knowledge, I love to know what i can about the razors I own/want to own. Hi, looking for advice on locating a schick repeating razor. Which model is the best shave? Where can I buy one? Any hep would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
